Meet the Talent
Camille Torres
Editorial Director
Camille Torres was dead set on becoming an English professor—until she interned at a magazine company. Instantly addicted to publishing, she jumped headfirst into the industry and hasn’t looked back.
As a freelance writer, Camille has penned numerous articles for national, regional, and local magazines. She is the former editor of the monthly city magazine for Pasadena, California, and has worked as the assistant editor of two national consumer publications.
In the custom publishing side of the industry, Camille has managerial and editorial experience planning and executing multiple nationally distributed print and online magazines. Infusing her professionalism and business savvy into all that she does, Camille works with you to determine the ideal methods to showcase your information, and she ensures that your message is clearly conveyed to your target audience.
Camille graduated from Texas Christian University while attending The Culinary School of Fort Worth. In her free time, she enjoys reading everything from fashion magazines to nineteenth-century British literature. When Camille isn’t reading, writing, or editing, she can usually be found in the kitchen creating new healthy recipes to enjoy with her husband.
Kyle Phelps
Art Director
Kyle Phelps is a bit of a prodigy. He’s been designing Web sites since he was 16—back when the Internet was all about chat rooms, and the “Hooked on a Feeling” dancing baby was an online phenomenon.
Since then, he honed his skills and expanded into editorial design. Prior to joining the Talk Back Media team, he was an art director for D magazine's custom division.
A versatile designer who injects creativity and innovation into your brand and message, Kyle has design and development experience with such clients as Sally Beauty Supply, Lennox, and EDS. Whether it’s bringing your existing vision into fruition or conceptualizing and developing a new project, he creates a look and feel that is distinctly you.
Kyle graduated from Baylor University with a degree in graphic design and a minor in business. When hes not working or researching the latest design trends, Kyle enjoys trying his luck at the links.
Matt Torres
Director of Operations
A true Renaissance man, Matt Torres brings to the table a varied background in business, aviation, and engineering. His unique perspective helps keep Talk Back Media fresh and unconstrained by traditional, sometimes stale, methods and processes. Unsatisfied by the “that’s-the-way-we’ve-always-done-it” reason for operating a specific way, he’s constantly on the lookout for ways to improve procedures.
Matt is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations and also oversees sales and business development. His background in industrial engineering helps him boost the company’s efficiency and effectiveness, while his business savvy and managerial experience keep everyone in check. A former pilot for a national commercial airline, Matt has strong leadership skills that come in handy when he needs to rein in the company’s creatives.
When Matt is away from the office, he enjoys flying, hunting, golfing, and watching college football. He’s also a diehard KU basketball fan who tries to make it up to Lawrence, Kansas, whenever he can to catch a game at Allen Fieldhouse.
